Kythera and Antikythera belong administratively in the Prefecture of Attica (Prefectorial Self-government of Piraeus ). Kythera with Antikythera constitute a Province that is governed by the Sub-prefect and the provincial council. The Municipality of Kythera and the Community of Antikythera depend on the Kythera Province . The Domestic Fortune is also an institution of local self-government, in the jurisdiction of which belongs the management of public ground of two islands.
