Pelitena Domos is a unit of houses/accommodations in the traditional settlement of Aroniadika in Kythira.
Aroniadika is in the center of Kythira, at the crossroads of the two main roads of the island to the north and south. It is an old, preserved settlement of the 16th century with many traditional one-story or two-story houses.
It consists of a recently renovated two-floor tiled house with 3 arches/walk and courtyard on the ground floor, a first floor with 2 comfortable bedrooms and verandas and a comfortable bright 2 bedroom detached house with its own garden.
The two-story house, which was completely renovated in 2021, consists of 3 arches (arches) at least 150 years old and a superstructure (floor), built at the beginning of the 20th century.
The original structural elements such as the thick stone walls, the traditional archways on the ground floor, the fireplace, the internal cupboards, the external stone staircase and the ashlar openings have been preserved and preserved.
On the 1st floor, an original Kythera wooden ceiling (ceiling) was reconstructed.
The detached house is in the garden of the old house, complementing and fully harmonizing with the environment, offering privacy and an excellent view of the surrounding hills.
At a distance of 100 meters there is a private parking for your car.
The two-floor house of Pelitena Domos has 3 different apartments, located on two levels. Napi, the largest apartment, is located on the first floor and can accommodate 4 guests. It has 2 bedrooms (one with a double bed and the second with two single beds), a bathroom and a spacious, fully equipped kitchen/dining room (dishwasher, washing machine, oven, and ceramic hobs). To the front of the bedrooms and to the rear next to the kitchen/dining room, there are partially covered spacious verandas for different times of the day.
The other two apartments, Pelor and Lida, are located on the ground floor and are connected or separated by internal soundproof doors. Each one has a separate bedroom with a double bed (or 2 singles depending on your needs), kitchen and bathroom. The kitchens of both apartments are equipped to prepare a simple meal. If there are four of you, you will stay in both apartments.
If you are 2 people with a “homely” mood, we recommend staying in the more spacious Lida apartment with the Terpsi living room that has direct access to the spacious courtyard with bougainvillea and mulberry trees.
If you simply want a comfortable apartment with its own living room in the garden, we recommend the Pelor apartment.
Pelitena Domos can be rented as a complete house (for up to 8 people) or per floor (for 4 guests per floor). You can see on our website www.kythiradomos.gr the floor plans of each apartment.
The detached house Phini has 2 bedrooms (1 with a double bed and one with 2 single beds) with a private bathroom each and a beautiful open-plan living-kitchen area. The outdoor areas consist of a lush garden with flowers and trees and a private courtyard with its sitting area.
